Building Information Management (BIM) is a new process for creating and managing information on a construction project throughout its whole life cycle. As part of this process, a coordinated digital description of every aspect of the built asset is developed, using modern digital technology. This digital description includes a combination of information-rich 3D models and associated structured data such as product, execution, and handover information.
Turo Architects can provide a client-side BIM Representative Role at all RIBA stages.
Based on the size and complexity of the project, below are the typical BIM elements that will be undertaken as part of a construction project:
Primary uses of a Digital Twin of a Built Asset include:
Based on the Client’s requirements, we can create the Digital Twin of a Built Asset. Below are the main steps that will be undertaken as part of a Digital Twin creation:
With useful operational insights from a unified picture of the Asset’s operations and performance, businesses should be able to trim running costs and make savings almost immediately.
Digital twins are combinations of data, visualization and connected sensors, offering unparalleled levels of insight into everything from energy use to occupancy to imminent maintenance requirements.
Based on the size and complexity of the project, below are the BIM elements that will be undertaken as part of a construction project:
We can assist the Project Team in assessing their capacity, capability and training needs; producing the BIM Execution Plan and project Standards, Methods, and Procedures; contributing to the Common Data Environment set-up, etc.
We can assist the Lead Designer in collating the Task Information Delivery Plans to produce the Master Information Delivery Plan and confirming the design deliverables. We can coordinate the delivery of the design information, confirm the status and approve the information for issue within the Common Data Environment from a BIM compliance point of view, coordinate the future project stage set-up with the Contractor, etc.
We can validate the end of stage quality reports and BIM deliverables against the Employer Requirements and supervise the data transfer from the Contractor to the Client.
